Mid-November every year is the season of colorful beauties of nature on the banks of the Zayandeh Rud River. The autumn nature of the groves at the winding Zayandeh River banks near the Zaman Khan Bridge to the Chadegan Dam gives a paradise view to this region. It is an exceptional landscape that may be unique in all of Iran. A one-day cycling program along the Zayandeh Rud River can be a good idea for us as well as other cycle tourists.
We started cycling from Savadjan village, which is located between Cham Kaka and Hooreh villages. This trail is full of ups and downs and is a great choice for a professional or semi-professional cycling program. Except on Fridays, there is not much traffic on this road and it is relatively safe for cycling.
We passed near the village of Horeh and after a long and beautiful route we passed through the villages of Yaseh Chah and Sadeghabad to reach the village of Markadeh. Then after touring the beautiful forests of this area we cycled again along the road until after passing Garm Darreh village to reach Hojjatabad village.
On the outskirts of Hojjatabad village, the Zayandehrud river regulation dam is located, which is a few kilometers below the main Chadegan dam.
After Hojjatabad village, although the groves along the river end, but from the heights along the road, the magical view of Zayandehrud river attracts the attention of every viewer and tourist. Zayandehrood river has become very wide in this area and has taken on the shape of a lake.
In this one-day cycling program, we cycled for about 66 km on the semi-mountainous roads of this region, back and forth.
This route passes through Isfahan and Chaharmahal & Bakhtiari provinces.
