Afratakhteh is a village in the heart of the forested mountains of Golestan province with a lot of tall and ancient trees, Sorkheh Dar, that are natural treasures of this region.
Afratakhteh is a village that is suitable for relaxation in the heart of a beautiful nature. You can see the beauty of this forest in less other places. Afratakhteh village is in two parts, the upper and lower villages, which are both beautiful and will always remain in your memory. The height of Afratakhteh village is 1550 meters above sea level and in summer, when Gorgan city ( capital of Golestan province ) is hot and sultry, this village has a pleasant and mountainous climate.
I went with three other friends to visit the village and the surrounding forests. We had previously arranged with a local to spend the night in his small village hut. When you came out of the house and walked in the village, the environment was full of natural beauty. Rich in green trees and plants, with clean and gentle air. Paradise is said to be sought somewhere nearby. I can not fully describe the two days we were in this beautiful area in words. However, it is an experience that you should have up close.
During these two days, in addition to walk in the village and the surrounding areas, we planned to hike in the forest towards the surrounding mountains. From the village of Afratakhteh to the pastures of Mount Milliarto in the west of Afratakhteh, is a few hours of walking in the heart of the mountain forests of this region.
