Darband is one of the old neighborhoods of Shemiran, which is located at an altitude of 1600 to 1800 meters above sea level in the north of Tehran and at the foot of Tochal Mountain. Saadabad garden and historical palace complex is located near Darband. Darband is one of the pleasant climates in the north of Tehran.
The main ascent to Tochal Peak starts from Darband Kuhnvard Square and continues along Darband River to higher altitudes. This route is one of the promenade & resorts of the people of Tehran and many restaurants and cafes have been built on this summer route along the river. A télésiège (chairlift) that extends from Kuhnvard Square to higher altitudes such as the Pas-e Ghaleh village is another recreational facility in this area of Darband.
