Kaman Kooh is located in an area of the Central Alborz Mountains, which is bounded on the west by Chalous Road (between Gachsar and Siah Bisheh) and on the north by Yush to Baladeh Road and on the south by valley and river of Varangeh Rud. Shemshak – Dizin road is in the south of this mountain.
Kaman Kooh is the highest peak of an arcuate ridge consisting of Kaman Kooh, Sarmaho and Glacier peaks. The height of Kamankooh peak is 4240 meters above sea level.
Azad kooh peak is located near Kaman Kooh peak and their ascent route is common.
We climbed the summit of the Kaman Kooh through the Varangeh Rud valley.
To climb Kaman Kooh from Varangeh Rud route, you have to enter Dizin Road from Chalous Road at the very beginning of the route, turn to the left side that reaches Varangeh Rudr Valley.
After that, continue the trekking route along the Varangeh Rud River, then enter the Shir Kamar valley on the left side of the Varangeh Rud valley, and by continuing the way, reach the Sutak plain, then cross the Sootak gorge to the beautiful plain of Kaman Kooh. This plain has a small lake through. After that You can climb the peak of Kaman kooh from this plain.
The ascent route to the top of Kaman Kooh through Varangeh Rud vallay in spring and summer is extremely beautiful.
