Kerman Museum of Contemporary Art, which is known as Sanati Museum of Contemporary Art in memory of its founder, Haj Akbar Sanatizadeh, is a very rich collection of works of visual arts, paintings and sculptures by Iranian and foreign artists.
This museum is set up in a large garden in the style of Persian gardens with traditional architecture of bricks and tiles and a dome.
Akbar Sanatizadeh is one of the late artists in the field of painting and sculpture. He spent his childhood in a orphanage and after becoming a famous artist, he set up the garden and the current building of the museum as an orphanage and gradually transferred his works of art to this place. Then a library in the field of art was added to this collection. Eventually, this place became a museum and the works of many artists such as Parviz Tanavoli and Sohrab Sepehri were donated to this museum and the works of famous foreign artists were exhibited in this museum.
The galleries that have recently been added to the Kerman Museum of Contemporary Arts are the periodic exhibitions of works of art by new artists.
