45 km north of Isfahan, on the way of Isfahan to Delijan, there is a large historical caravanserai that belongs to the Safavid period and is known as Madar Shah (or Abbasi) Caravanserai. This caravanserai, which is renovated recently, looks like a castle with walls, towers and fortifications.
The Abbasi caravanserai has an area of more than six thousand square meters and includes many rooms around the large courtyard of the caravanserai. At present this caravanserai is used for restaurants and tourist facilities.
The location of this historical caravanserai is near Murchehkhort and around the branch of Kashan highway from the old Isfahan road to Tehran.
