Malek Historical Mosque that also known as Malek Grand Mosque, in Kerman city, is nearly one thousand years old and belongs to the Seljuk period. There is also a historical tower from the same period, in the northeast corner of this mosque, which is known as the Seljuk Tower. Of course, the upper part of this tower has collapsed.
After the Islamic revolution, with the construction of Imam Khomeini Street near the north of Malek Mosque, the name of this mosque was changed to Imam Khomeini Mosque.
Malek historical mosque is about 100 meters long and 90 meters wide. This Mosque is the largest and oldest mosque in Kerman. In the past, an aqueduct passed through the wide courtyard of the Malek Mosque, which, of course, was later dried and covered.
