Maranjab desert is located in the north of Aran and Bidgol county near the Kashan city in Isfahan province. Maranjab desert is a sandy desert with high sand dunes. A shallow salt lake is also located in the north of this desert. A historical caravanserai called Karshahi Castle related to the Safavid era is also located next to this desert. The caravanserai was also used for military purposes during the Safavid period. An aqueduct next to this caravanserai has created a large pond and has fresh water. The existence of this aqueduct in the salt and saline desert is a unique phenomenon.
Maranjab desert is one of the most beautiful desert places in Iran that attracts many tourists from all over Iran. The best time to travel to the Marnjab desert is in autumn and winter.
