Shir Abad Waterfalls are a collection of seven waterfalls in the forest heights of Golestan province, waterfalls with a height of several meters to 25 or 30 meters.
To reach Shirabad waterfalls, you have to follow the path from Gorgan to Azad Shahr and before reaching Azadshahr, walk to Khan Bebin on the right side of the road. After passing Khan Bebin, you will reach the village of Shir Abad, which you must cross to park the car two kilometers above. Then walk through the forest and the altitude that will take you to the Shir Abad Waterfalls and the beautiful ponds below the waterfalls.
The route of Shir Abad Waterfalls is a mountainous forest route and to cross it, you have to move through the highways next to the waterfalls. Therefore, it requires a lot of caution, especially if due to rain, this route has become slippery.
The first waterfall and pond is the most beautiful. Water falls from a height of about 25 meters into a large and beautiful pond, which is said to be a depth of 80 meters. Usually a lot of of tourists are there around this pond is large.
You can reach a beautiful cave with a high mouth next to the series of Shir Abad Waterfalls from which water flows. This cave called “White Demon” ( Div-e Sepid). The length of the cave is more than two hundred meters.
The best season to visit Shir Abad Waterfalls is from April every year to mid-June. In summer, due to the hot and sultry region, you may be bothered, and in winter the roads are slippery.
