A study of the statistics of the Organization (Ministry) of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Iran shows that the number of tourists arrived in Iran in 2007 was about two million, which in 2018 reached nearly eight million.
Surveys by a tourism institute show that Iran, Georgia, Laos, Argentina, Nepal, Romania, Mexico, Turkey, Indonesia and Armenia are the cheapest countries in the world to travel to in 2019, so that according to the statistics of the institute, the daily cost required for each day is $ 10 to $ 15 for tourists in Iran, $ 20 to $ 40 in Georgia, Laos, Armenia and Nepal, $ 30 to $ 50 in Argentina and Turkey, and $ 40 to $ 60 in Romania and Mexico.
According to Wikipedia, official sources say that, in 2013, as many as 4.76 million foreigners visited Iran.
These statistics may be just insane for Iran, especially if we take into account that the Western media, especially American, has been portraying the country as the worst, most dangerous and repressive of all countries.
Today, historical Persian cities such as Shiraz, Esfahan or Yazd, are filled with both tourist groups and independent travelers, perfectly lined souvenir stalls and cute boutique hotels.
And this can only mean one thing: Iran is extremely safe.
