The Alborz mountain range and the lush and forested areas located on the northern slopes of this mountain range have provided a good opportunity for trekking in Iran in the heart of the beautiful nature of these areas.
Mountaineers and nature lovers go to an area in the Alborz highlands and start their trekking in Iran from the heights to the forested and lower areas of the Caspian Sea (I mentioned before about a route from Ab Bar to Rudkhan Castel ). These walks, which usually last two to three days, are very enjoyable due to the beauty and pristine nature and the cool and pleasant mountain climate. Such hikes, since they start from the heights and end in the lower areas, will be mainly in the form of landings and descents in pastures, plains and forests, and therefore do not have the difficulty of mountaineering and climbing. Anyway, these hikes are considered an adventurous program and you should have a road map, travel plan and a guide with you, and also take the necessary precautions so as not to have an accident or get lost.
These type of trekking from mountainous heights of Alborz range to the forest and the lower shores of the Caspian Sea,are done mainly between different areas of Gilan province and its neighboring provinces (Ardabil and Zanjan).
The heights of Ab Bar village in Zanjan province are the source of nature treks that end in the forests of Gilan with a distance of about thirty to forty kilometers.
Hiking mentioned here starts from the heights of Ab Bar on Zanjan province and ends in the village of Masuleh in the forests of Gilan province. In this journey, we spent two nights in the summers along the way. Let’s see a little more about Masouleh here.
