120 km southeast of Sari and between Sari and Damghan in Mazandaran province, there are springs of carbonated water with mineral compounds that are unique in Iran and unique in the world. These springs are known as Badab Soort springs. Badab means carbonated water.
These springs have the second natural heritage record in Iran after Damavand
The two springs of Badab Soort are located on a hill. The altitude of this area is 1800 meters above sea level.
The mineral compounds in the water of these springs have caused colored deposits of yellow, orange and red colors. In addition, for thousands of years, the downward flow of spring water has created beautiful and amazing stepped niches on the hillside. The combination of these stepped niches with its colorful sediments has created original landscapes in this area.
Similar to Badab Soort springs in Iran, there is a region called Pamukkale in Turkey that has attracted many tourists, but we should know that Badab Soort springs in Iran are superior to Pamukkale region in Turkey in terms of color spectrum of sediments, but still We have not been able to provide reception conditions for foreign tourists to visit this unique area of our country.
To access Badab Soort springs, you have to come to Sari-Damghan road and in the village of Telmadreh in the middle of this road, go to the road that reaches Orost village and Badab Soort springs.
There are no amenities in the vicinity of these springs, and if you want to spend the night in this area, you can camp in the lower areas, or maybe use the Hosseiniyah in the village of Orost, which is a few kilometers from these springs.
These springs have a special brilliance at sunrise and sunset, and you can capture the best images of them at these times.
