Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province is located in the center of Iran and in the foothills of the Zagros Mountains. Zardkooh mountain range occupies a large part of the west of this province. Many rivers originate from this mountain range, which are the main tributaries of Karun and Zayandeh Rud rivers. In the west of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province and along the Bazaft river, oak forests have created a beautiful landscape.
Shahrekord is the capital of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province.
