Uraman
Uraman or Uramanat refers to a mountainous region of Kurdistan and Kermanshah provinces, which includes the Tateh and Shahu mountains. This region is located approximately on the border between Kurdistan and Kermanshah provinces and includes cities and villages such as Uraman Takht, Paveh, Nowsud and Nowdeshah, which are generally close to the Iranian-Iraqi border. On the other hand, villages along the Sirvan River such as Selin, Nav, Ravar and Palangan are also considered as part of Uraman region.
The Kurdish tribes living in the Uraman region speak the “Hurami” dialect and are racially and ethnically common.
