Alam Kuh with a height of 4850 meters is the second highest peak in the country, but without a doubt the most beautiful and at the same time the most technical climbing routes among the peaks of the country is belong to Alam Kuh.
Alam Kuh is located somewhere in Mazandaran in the west of Kelardasht and north of Taleghan. Alam Kuh mountain belongs to a mountain range of Alborz mountain range called Takht-e Soleyman mountain range. In this mountain range, there are 47 peaks with an altitude of more than four thousand meters.
Common ascent routes for Alam Kuh are one from the northern front of this mountain (Alam Chal route) and the other from the southern front of this mountain (Hesar Chal route).
The beginning of the trek for both ascents starts from Vanderban area, which is located on the northeastern slope of Alam Kuh. A new, well-equipped shelter has been built by the Mountaineering Federation in Vanderben.
Climbers travel from Kelardasht and Rudbarak to Vandarben by car and from there, they start their mountaineering to climb Alam Kuh.
You will see deep valleys, rivers and beautiful springs on the way to climb Alam Kuh, which you will not find anywhere else. It has a beautiful and at the same time scary grandeur.
Alam Chal is an area below the northern walls of Alam Kuh mountain. There is a shelter in Alam Chal area.
Alam Chal is located at an altitude of 4000 meters above sea level. In Alam Chal area,there are huge glaciers that are covered with rocks and soil.The cracks that have been created in some places in these underground glaciers have made these glaciers visible to climbers.
Under these glaciers, water flows so that you can hear the sound of water passing in the basement under your feet. These glaciers are millions of years old.
