Lahijan is one of the big cities in Gilan province and its people speak Gilaki language. The Sepid Rud River flows west of Lahijan. Lahijan is located in the foothills and has a humid and rainy climate and is surrounded by forests around the city. Now the hills around the city are covered with green tea fields.
