Banood village, 35 km southeast of Asaluyeh, is not far from the Persian Gulf coast.
Banood has a beautiful and relatively wide sandy beach. You see the round small carcass of jellyfishes lying on the beach sand.
There is a mosque on the beach that, like other Sunni mosques in southern Iran, is always open 24 hours a day and can even be sheltered for an overnight stay. On the sandy beach here, fishermen steer their beautiful old boats from the beach sand into the sea.
