Shirkuh peak is located 48 km south of Yazd and 20 km south of Taft town and along with the surrounding peaks such as Barfkhaneh peak is one of the single peaks in the central mountain range of Iran. Shirkuh peak is 4075 meters above sea level.
The large village of Deh Bala is located on the eastern slope of Shir Kuh peak at an altitude of 2600 meters above sea level and has a temperate climate and beautiful nature in summer. Deh Bala village and other nearby villages such as Tezerjan (at the foot of Barfkhaneh mountain) is the summer of Yazd residents.
The interesting point of Shirkuh is the red landscape of this mountain, which is due to the color of the sedimentary layers on the igneous rocks in this area.
