Siraf port, also known as Bandar Taheri, is located 47 km northwest of Asaluyeh.
Siraf is a historic village that is mostly famous for its many holes that are located next to each other on a mountain slope in the north of the city. These cavities are like regular but empty graves.
One theory is that in ancient times these holes were made to collect water that flowed down the mountain. While another theory says that these are historical tombs. Now why are they left open; I do not know.
In addition, there is an old castle-like house from two hundred years ago in Siraf, which was the residence of the Nasouri family and is known as the historical palace of Sheikh Nasouri.
