Right in the middle of Chamran Square in the city of Borazjan, there is a large castle-like mansion that was built during the Qajar period by the order of Mirza Abolhassan Khan Mushir ol-Molk. A mansion made of stone and mortar and has four towers and a large paved courtyard with about 60 rooms around it. The vast roof is also paved.
The use of Borazjan Moshir-ol-Molk Castle was initially for the purpose of inn and reception of travelers. During the Pahlavi era, it was used as a military base for some time and later became a police prison.
Prominent figures of the Islamic Republic such as Bazargan and Dr. Yadollah Sahabi were imprisoned in Borazjan Fortress for some time during the Pahlavi period.
On the walls of the rooms of this caravanserai, beautiful linear relics can be seen, which are usually the handwrittens of characters who were previously imprisoned in this place.
