The Lahijan Museum, which is also the anthropological museum of this city, has been set up at the tomb of Kashif-o Saltanah in Lahijan.
The name Lahijan is associated with green tea plantations. But it is interesting to know that tea has only been cultivated in Iran for a little over a hundred years. Kashif-o Saltanah learned about the British-owned Indian tea-growing industry and established tea cultivation in Lahijan.
