Tochal Peak is 3963 meters above sea level from the central Alborz range, which is located in the north of Tehran. This peak is a regular place for climbers to climb. There are several routes to climb the peak of Tochal, among which Darband to Shirpala shelter route is the most common and busiest route to climb this peak.
A ski resort has been set up near the summit of Tochal and the Tochal Hotel is located next to the same piste.
The cable car is stretched from Velenjak area in the north of Tehran to near the ski slope at the top of Tochal. This cable car, which has seven stations with a length of seven and a half kilometers, is one of the longest cable car lines in the world.
